The first thing to know about this tea is that it is stupidly delicious. Even the most stubborn mint or licorice skeptics tend to admit it feels like a treat in a cup. Peppermint leaf leads in the aroma, bright and cooling, but the first sip surprises with a natural sweetness from licorice root, followed by just enough warming anise to round it out. The result is comfort in tea form: almost dessert-like, with absolutely no added sugar.

Beyond the flavor, this blend is crafted to soothe and settle. Peppermint has always felt to me like coming home after a long day. It has a cool effect on the head, opening the sinuses, and easing tension. If I'm experiencing dull achey headaches, stress, or congestion, peppermint will absolutely be coming off my shelf.

Licorice root is a longtime favorite in herbal tradition for digestive and respiratory support. It’s warming and moistening, known for coating and soothing irritated digestive tissues. This magical root was in my cup each day while battling a hacking post-pneumonia cough. It's also the herb my son asks for when his throat feels scratchy, because it is deeply soothing while also tasting candy-like.

Fennel seed and a touch of basil round out the blend, offering gentle carminative support to ease bloating and gas.

Drink this as a post-meal digestif, a pre-bedtime treat, or anytime your head or belly needs rescue. It also happens to be my mother’s favorite, made for her by request, and mama does tend to know best.

Decaffeinated.

More About Our Teas

Brewing Instructions

Herbal Teas: Brew 1-2 tbsp of loose tea per 1 cup of boiling water. Cover and steep for at least 10 minutes. For teas that contain roots or bark, steep time should be at least 15 minutes to achieve full flavor.

Unlike traditional camellia sinensis teas, herbal teas can and should be left to sit in the water. This will release even more benefits of the herbs, as well as other layers of flavor. Herbal teas may be re-steeped and enjoyed 2-4x.

Black Teas: Brew 1 tbsp tea with 1 cup of 200–212°F water. Steep for 4-5 minutes.

Green & White Teas: Brew 1 tbsp tea with 1 cup of 175-185°F water. Steep for 3-4 minutes for green tea, and 2-3 minutes for white tea.
